The Real Reason You Are Struggling To Increase Your Sales…. And How To Change It

There are two key beliefs that are linked to your success.    

The first belief is about how much money you can earn.  I would say you actually have a ceiling in place.  I have seen it again and again and again.  Even very successful people have a ceiling of what they are capable or worth.  

What happens is, if they go above that ceiling, they self-sabotage.  It is like they cannot get beyond it.  I can’t tell you the number of people I have spoken to and met who have made millions of dollars. So on the face of it, very successful, but they’ve spent the money as soon as it has come in because at some level they do not feel they deserve it.   So, it goes out as quickly as it comes in.  

If you think what I am talking about is rubbish, then I want you to think about this question.   

 

What Does Your Bank Balance Show?

If you were to look at your bank balance, how much have you earned consistently in the last three years?    

You will see there is a ceiling on it, that you probably won’t ever earn above the amount.  Why have you not managed to earn more?  If you want to break through the ceiling, you need to look at your beliefs around money. 

 

Dealing With Failure And Setback

The second belief is how you deal with failure and set back.  This is a key belief in terms of truly successful people.  Uber successful people have commonly failed more than most.    

The way they perceive the failure is totally different from the majority of people on this earth.  Most people are very risk averse.  You will see people talk about wanting to start new businesses or changing jobs or following their passion, or doing something that is outside their comfort zonebut they never do it.  They never do it because they are afraid of failure.  This fear of failure stops us doing incredible things.  It often stops us from creating the life of our dreams. 

 

Change The Way You View Setbacks

The thing you need to remember as a recruitment business owner and an entrepreneur, you are going to fail.  Really successful people embrace it and regard failure as something to learn from and to move on and get stronger from.  How you deal with setbacks is important.

Whenever you set yourself a goal that you have never achieved before there is a play in the universe.  As soon as you make a play in the world you are going to hit obstacles and we call this hitting the resistance. 

 

Hitting Resistance Like A Rocket

It is a bit like a rocket.  When a rocket takes off it burns an amazing amount of fuel during the first moments of flight.  That is to overcome inertia and to overcome the gravitational pull of the earth.  

 

The rocket takes a lot of effort to blast off.  Then as the rocket goes through the atmosphere to get through into space it hits resistance.  It gets very hot, uncomfortable and shaky.  That is like when we are making a play in something we haven’t done.  

The resistance comes up in what I call your monkeymind.  So, you set a plan – say you set a plan to generate £1 million net profit.    You have your plan and you start to take action …  

Then all sorts of things happen, like you lose a massive client or one of your top billers leaves.  It puts things in your head like, ‘Surely it wasn’t meant to be this hard.  Maybe now is not the right time to be doing this.’  This is your monkey mind trying to keep you safe.  If I was really meant to be running my own business, I wouldn’t be having so many problems.  

The purpose of the monkey-mind is to keep you safe, it is to solve problems, it is there to expect danger, it is there to brace us for trouble but our monkey-minds keep us small.  

So, how can you deal with the monkey-mind that is bringing up the resistance? 

 

The Key To Overcoming Your Resistence

If you want to smash through and achieve your goals then there’s two things you can do …    

1. You need to recode thunhelpful mindset of your unconscious AND  

2. You need somebody who is going to hold you on track, so when you hit these barriers they will help you get through the resistance …  because it is hard work. 

 

What happens if you don’t deal with these beliefs?    

First of all, you can want to be a millionaire and work your absolute socks off but if at an unconscious level you feel you do not deserve it OR you are not good enough OR earning a lot of money is not a good thing;  that you might not be loved by your friends and family  

Then no matter how hard you work; you are never going to get it.    

But, if you do make the shifts in your thinking, everything changes for you and your business because your business is a mirror of what is going on in your mind.    

When you make the shifts internally, everything externally changes toowithout you even having to do anything.   All you need to do, is get working on those limiting beliefs or negative emotions that have been holding you back.
