Your COVID Recovery – Your Daily Habits That Guarantee Success

Over the past few posts, we have been talking through the critical steps to take as you go through your recovery from COVID.
The topic? Cultivating supportive daily habits to help you step into the new business person you want to be.
Your New Daily Habits and Beliefs
There are certain habits and beliefs that you might want to put in place daily based on the habits the ‘new’ you would have who is achieving the goals you want.
The new you will have let go of certain habits, and by being ‘that change’, your results start to become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So what we encourage you to say now is:
- What is it that I want,
- and therefore, who do I need to become to get it?
I need to make that decision, and I’m going to start acting and behaving like the person I now want to be.

Start Where You Are
So the next part of this process which I learnt from my mentor was “do what you can with what you’ve got, where you are.”
Katie and I use this motto all the time because it’s served us so well in business. After all, instead of waiting for circumstances to magically transform around us, which by the way doesn’t happen, we’ve always taken the view that if it’s something that we wanted, then we need to go and get it from where we are.
While at the same time knowing that there’s a journey that we’re going to go on, and we might not be masters at that journey now, we’re just going to start taking the steps.
So think about what is happening to many of us now and reflect that if your life or your family’s life depended on you changing, would you do whatever it took?
Would you have an attitude of whatever it takes; I suspect you would?
The Good News
This is an integral attitude to have NOW if you want to shift through to the next level.
The cool thing about this is that you already have within you, the wisdom, knowledge, network, resources and intuition to do it too!
All you have to do is connect with that part of you that already exists in the quantum field.
And you can then unlock these resources within you that you didn’t even realise are there.
And by having a ‘whatever it takes‘ attitude will mean that you start to smash through and achieve things that you never thought was even vaguely possible for you.
One of the things that we see with a lot of our clients is once they realise, and they know what’s possible using this process, everything starts to click into place.
Often, people will say to me: “How have you managed to achieve that Nicky, you know, you seem pretty normal?”😊
Yes, I am pretty normal, but what I do have is a drive within me to do whatever it takes to serve and to make a difference for myself and the people that I interact with.
And if this involves doing things I feel really uncomfortable doing, then I will do whatever it takes. And that’s the attitude that when people see and get that it is possible for them too, the magic begins to happen.
Whatever you want is already there, you just need to start owning it and claiming it and making the decision that you’re going to go after it and that you will do whatever it takes to get there.

Getting Outside Your Comfort Zone and The Gift of COVID
Fact: All growth happens beyond the edge of your comfort zone. So if you want to make changes and get different results, you will need to move beyond the boundaries of your comfort zone.
So on every single day, think about what you can do that just slightly pushes you outside of your comfort zone.
It doesn’t need to be massive, only like 4% outside your comfort zone is enough. And it can be something physical or emotional, but just something that starts to get this process into your muscle.
- It might be a few more minutes on the treadmill
- One more email sent
- One more phone call made
- Or apologising to your better half
Because going through that discomfort, going through the pain is how we grow.
What’s happening in the market at the moment is such an amazing opportunity to step into that person who is you in the future who is already there and claim and claim. And it starts by taking action.
Action is so critical here; because action creates momentum.
If you are putting things off or you’re overwhelmed or you’re frustrated, or you are not making decisions; stop and start taking action.
Start With One Action
And so what I want you to think about is what’s one thing; what’s the first step I could take within the next 24 hours that is en route to what I want to get?
What’s one thing that maybe I’ve been putting off doing, that I’m going to start taking action on.
Then keep taking more and more steps, and the trajectory you are on will start to shift. It won’t be a straight line, and there will be bumps, and you will need to course-correct.
